Room Appearance: It looks like it's a hollowed out tree, which is his home in Ponyville. It has a grand piano in it, and he sleeps on a pile of cushions in front of an open fire because lol what is a bed. Visual Floorplan

HISTORY
"“And that's the story of my whole entire life! Well, up until today, do you wanna hear about today?”
Spike, as most dragons do, started off as an egg. His egg, in fact, was given to a young Twilight Sparkle to hatch as part of her entrance exam to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. Twilight hatched him out with the inadvertent help of Rainbow Dash, and at some point he became her assistant as she learned all about magic. Why the hell the ponies had a dragon egg to begin with is never really explained. Maybe they just wanted someone around with opposable thumbs and child abduction was as good a solution as any. WHO KNOWS.
Regardless, he remained inseparable from Twilight, staying with her when she moved from Canterlot to live in Ponyville, where he stayed as her assistant, helping her run the library and relaying messages to and from Princess Celestia. He had many adventures there, learning about friendship and all that jazz. He came into Paradisa after 'running away from home'. With Twilight adopting an owl as an extra assistant, Spike's feelings of being replaced, and a few...incidents, the dragon was left certain Twilight no longer loved him and he fled to the EverFree forest. Where he was promptly attacked by an adult dragon for invading his home. He arrived via the castle's oven.
Since then, he has been canonbumped twice. The first time taking him up to the point where he was falling to his apparent 'death with Rarity after his dragon nature got the better of him and he destroyed half of Ponyville. His most recent bump has seen him go seek out dragons, hanging out with teenage ones to learn more about himself, only to learn he's happy being a 'pony'. During this time, he gained a pet Phoenix, whom he named PeeWee. He comes to Paradisa now after the wedding of Shining Armour and Cadence.
PERSONALITY
"“Seeing the Great Dragon Migration made me wonder what it meant to be a dragon, but now I realize that who I am is not the same as what I am. I may have been born a dragon, but Equestria and my pony friends had taught me how to be kind, loyal, and true. I'm proud to call Ponyville my home, and to have my pony friends as my family.”
Spike is a very sarcastic little guy. He uses deadpan humour often, despite the fact it goes over someponies heads. He also has a tendency to laugh at other’s misfortunes, not in a cruel way, mind, just a ‘lulz, you’re an idiot’ way. Living surrounded by girls, Spike is very protective of his masculinity, and will quickly dismiss anything he considers ‘too girly’. Unless, of course, Rarity is involved, then he can sometimes be convinced to partake in the activity.
He’s got a massive ego, and loves nothing more than having it fluffed, to the point where he’ll push it a little too far in asking for his friends praise. Despite the fact he tries to act like the coolest guy around, he IS still just a baby dragon. The love and respect of his friends is vitally important to him, and when he feels he could lose it, he gets insanely jealous and does Stupid Things. He's very proud of his assistant skills, which are pretty impressive, he's worked hard on them, and as such defends his job to the hilt.
Having been raised by a species completely different to his own, identity is a big deal to him. Even if he knows he's a dragon, he's perfectly content with identifying himself as a pony, and as such hold with him the Equestrian values of Friendship and Harmony. He will do ANYTHING for someone he cares about, and once you've earned his friendship (which is admittedly not difficult at all) it is very difficult to get rid of him. It's not a coincidence that he was asked to stand in for Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty.
That said, he will do mischievous things when he thinks he can get away with it. If he actually hurts anyone, however, he is quick to apologise. He’s a good guy, it’s just that he’s still learning.

Fire breathing - Spike’s fire is green. Deal with it.
Regular fire: Despite its colour, it acts like regular fire. He uses it to cook food. It doesn’t seem to get much hotter than to roast popcorn/bake pies with.
Magical fire: Looks the same as regular fire, but he can use this to send messages with, and he can also burp out messages sent to him. How does this work? NEVER ASK. The sent messages always come from Princess Celestia, so if this is due to her magic, or if anyone can send ‘dragon mail’ has not yet been confirmed.

*He comments that all dragons are fireproof. The kid can swim in MOLTEN LAVA.
*Spike’s scales are VERY thick, and as such really hard to penetrate. Stabbing him probably won’t work guys.
*He’s also incredibly hard to poison.
*His teeth can chew through gemstones like they’re cookies.
*He'll use his tail as a weapon too, pounding the spikes into enemies like a jackhammer. He's called Spike for a REASON.
*Dragons in this world have massive growth spurts if they indulge in greed. The more they collect, this bigger and greedier they get, until they turn into giant mindless monsters. Spike has experienced this both at home and in Paradisa and avoids receiving gifts from anyone at all times.
